I have spent most of my adult life immersed in the business world and the joy of raising our two daughters…. which left little time for any artistic expression. I attended the occasional art class but stored my supplies and notes deep in the world of “one day!”
ARTIST'S STORY
–
Once I retired, I found a real joy in painting. I have always loved creating and one of my great teachers once said “painting is just problem solving”. He was right …I get immense satisfaction watching pastel or paint come to life on paper….often not until the very end.
I love creating works of art that move people. I try to bring both color and movement into my pieces. Although pastels are my first love I also paint in oils & alcohol inks. I am intrigued with different forms of beauty from landscapes to abstract works. I have recently started creating pastel portraits and I truly love the challenge of reproducing life-like art of people/children’s faces or beloved pets.
I can reproduce most of my giclee pieces in different format sizes and cards of some of my work. If you have an idea in mind, give me a call as I enjoy commission work. My husband and I live in Sherwood Park and I would love to hear from you.
